How the TURBOSWINGworks

The ski rope pull force and outboard thrust force, converge in the swivel bracket, the power goes either into the boat or into the skier. You attach the ski rope to the EZpulley that runs over the TurboSwing ski bar and around the outboard. The TurboSwing controls the height and movements of the rope: the EZpulley smoothly follows the movements of the skier, wake boarder or towable. The

 

The TurboSwing features much improved overall performance of the boat and more neutral handling as well as more action, safety and comfort for skier and driver. 

 

"Bermuda"transom bridle, always a hassle ...

The running block is not moving in a controlled way, it overreacts to the skier, the rope attachment is troublesome, the bridle often has a sinking steel core, is difficult to monitor, etc.

The boat driver is (over)reacting to compensate, resulting in a loss of power of 20HP or even more

When swinging out, the tow ski rope will chafe the shaft, forcing the focus point backwards and away from the transom. You will draw the transom towards you, making the boat veer away from you.

 

Also, when pulled against the shaft, the towrope is forcing itself downwards into the wake.

 

Don΄t waste your energy on a ski pole!

Ski poles also cause a loss of 20 HP or more, the high point of attachment is causing the boat to dig itself in and tip, disturbs the balance etc.

Ski boats are built for having a pylon: they have a flat planing surface at the transom, a 200-350 HP inboard centrally placed, with the rotation point between the rudder and inboard: the pylon location.

 

Outboard powered boats however have deep-Vs, the heauvy outboard weight on the transom, and the point of rotation lies in the rotation poiunt of the outboard, where the thrust is.

 

A ski pole creates tremendous leverage problems, tilting and heeling the boat over, causing excessive drag and loss of forward thrust.

 

the TURBOSWING- the (re)solution

The TurboSwing bings the pull force to the power source, where the thrust is, in the rotation point of your boat.

 

The heavier the skier, wakeboarder or towable, and the more one swings out, the bigger the advantages of the TurboSwing. The TurboSwing brings the ski rope under control and makes it easier to handle for the crew. And brings the extra power where it should be: under your control, right at your hands! The desired course becomes the actual course, not wasting power, reaching higher RPM, torque and more forward thrust, bringing in more action, comfort and safety for all.

 

Assembly: on outboard motor bracket - universal for all outboards as from 30/40 HP
Using a mounting clamp on either side of the motor bracket, the clamps are bolted on the motor bracket, using the same motor bracket bolts. 2 extra bolts stabilise the clamps. It is not necessary to dismount the outboard motor for mounting the TurboSwing.

 

Trimming and tilting

The TurboSwing can be tilted just like the outboard

motor, thanks to the pivoting feature of the mounting clamps. The upper and lower position for skiing or boarding (higher) can be adjusted based on the planing angle of your boat. For safe tilting, the TurboSwing can be lifted manually and be kept in position thanks to the integrated friction discs.

 

Mounting and dismounting
Simply place the TurboSwing bracket in the holding sleeves and secure with 2 securing pins. Dismounting, which is recommend for trailering the boat, is just as easy. The mounting clamps permanently stay in place.

 

Safe
The ski rope becomes better visible, is not in the boat, but behind the engine, clearly visible. The driver can concentrate better on what happens on the water, thanks to the much improved overall handling of the boat.
